How to Make a Glass of Whiskey Vanish in Your Bare Hands

People are always amazed when a magician makes things vanish into thin air. However, they will be even more amazed when you make a real glass of whiskey vanish in your bare hands! Plus it’s easy to do.

How It Looks To The Audience

The magician shows the spectators a small shot glass, which is full of whiskey. The glass is perfectly normal and they can examine it if they want. The magician then places the glass on the palm of his hand and covers the glass with his other hand. He then quickly squeezes his hands together and when he opens his hands, the glass of whiskey has vanished!

How The Trick is Done 강남풀싸롱

To do this trick you will need some black, cord elastic, which you can buy from any sewing supplies shop. You will also need a safety pin and a small rubber ball. Finally you will need a small shot or whiskey glass.

The glass should be small enough to conceal in both your hands and the rubber ball should be just big enough to fit into the mouth of the glass. The ball will act as a cork and stop the whiskey coming out of the glass.

Cut a piece of elastic about twenty inches in length and then tie one end to the safety pin. Poke a hole right through the rubber ball and then tie the other end of the elastic to the ball. Then pin the safety pin to middle of your shirt, between your shoulder blades. Adjust the length of the elastic, so the ball hangs about four inches from the bottom edge of your jacket.

To perform the trick, hold out your left hand with palm facing upwards. Then pick up the glass of whiskey with your right hand and place it in the palm of your left hand. Place your right hand on your hip and turn your body slightly to the right, so you can show everyone the glass in your left hand.

As you are talking about the glass of whiskey, sneak your right hand under your coat and conceal the ball in your right hand. Turn to the front and bring both hands in front of you about waist level. Cover the glass with your right hand and force the ball into the mouth of the glass. Then press your hands together as though you are squeezing the glass. Under cover of this action release your grip on the glass and let it shoot under your jacket.

Continue to act as though as though the glass is still in your hands for a few moments and then slowly open your hands, to show the glass has vanished.

You may, if you wish, roll up your shirt cuffs and jacket sleeves while performing this trick. This proves that the glass did not go up your sleeves but does not affect the working of the trick.
